Get Testnet GT

This tutorial will guide you through obtaining testnet GT tokens and depositing them to Gate Layer using direct transfer method.

Step 1: Get GateChain Testnet GT​

Using Faucet to Get Test GT​

  1. Visit Gate Web3 Token Claim Center
  2. Follow the process to obtain GateChain testnet GT

Step 2: Direct Transfer Deposit​

  1. In your wallet, select Send/Transfer function
  2. Enter the recipient address: 0x75ded3be4d69e8403c9079ae5cf5e059a23f6a67
  3. Select test GT Token as the transfer asset
  4. Enter the amount of test GT to deposit
  5. Confirm and send the transaction

Note: The direct transfer method will automatically trigger the L1StandardBridge contract's deposit logic without manually calling contract methods.

Verify Deposit​

1. Check Transaction Status​

  1. View your transaction on GateScan Testnet
  2. Confirm the transaction executed successfully
  3. Record the transaction hash

2. Wait for L2 Confirmation​

  • Expected time: Approximately 1-2 minutes
  • Verification: Check your test GT balance on the Gate Layer testnet

3. Verify on Gate Layer Testnet​

  1. Switch to the Gate Layer testnet
  2. Check your test GT balance in your wallet
  3. Or view on GateScan Gate Layer Testnet
